Island Basement Systems is an established and reputable company on the Island and are looking for a 2nd crew at our Victoria location. We are offering a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for a Waterproofing and Service Technician

**WHAT WE DO**

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY INCLUDES**
- installation of waterproofing systems; spray waterproofing, crawlspace liners, foundation repair, injection repair systems, sump systems, interior and exterior drainage, concrete repair, foundation rehab, etc
- foundation repair: concrete repair, framing repair, post and beam replacement, simple framing, structural support repair.
- working alone, or as a project lead hand, leading a team with one or two installation assistants
- provide service to existing systems installed in residential homes
- assist with diagnosing and design of waterproofing systems
- provide customer service and support in regard to waterproofing systems we’ve installed
- daily hazard assessments, participate in our safety program,
- Ensure jobs tasked are completed to company standards

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Three years construction and home repair experience
- Ability to work in small areas such as crawlspaces and attics, good construction basics.
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lead and manage small teams
- Skilled at working on an iPhone/Mac
- High level of self-motivation, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Results-orientated with the ability to work independently
- Possess time management, scheduling experience, ability to work in a team environment, and problem-solving skills
- Courteous and customer service oriented with effective communication skills
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract

**Travel**

Most of the projects this position will work on require travel required to job locations primarly on south Vancouver Island, and sometimes up-island. We provide the company vehicles. Our head office is in Victoria, but our teams typically load up for the week and head directly to the jobs from home.

**Benefits**

Standard company benefits package is provided after three months.

**Salary range**:$26.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
This position is an hourly wage, with opportunities for installation bonuses based on the scope of work being installed.
