**Project Controls Specialist**

Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE) is a well-established, privately-owned engineering firm providing EPCM services to the energy industry, including project management, engineering, drafting and design, procurement, construction management and regulatory services.

As a member of our project controls team your responsibilities, will include, but are not limited to:

- Set up project work breakdown structure and ensure cost estimates, budgets, and schedules in accordance with the project requirements.
- Responsible for integrated EPC planning, engineering, and construction scheduling (Level 1, 2 & 3), and cost controlling of total installed cost.
- Review and analyze schedule status during all project stages, including critical path/float analysis. Schedule recovery or execution scenario planning.
- Resource planning, progress and performance/earned value reporting and analysis.
- Project cost control support for budgeting, estimating, and progress reporting.
- Perform variance analysis and change order management, including project change notice & trend logs, and submit project change notices for approval in a timely manner.
- Attend internal and external project meetings and update the project management team on deliverables and cost forecasting.
- Assist the project management team with cost and schedule analysis, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Third parties progress monitoring and reporting.
- Work directly with Project Managers and the Business Development team in the development of project proposals.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 4+ years project controls experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Post-Secondary certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software experience required.
- Ability to analyze information, determine discrepancies, flag project risks and resolve issues.
- Strong understanding of contractual terms and progress payments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work and adapt in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
