Journeyperson Carpenter

Silverado Industries is a Commercial Construction company that is located in the beautiful East Kootenays in **Cranbrook, BC**. Our high-performance team of professionals tackles the most unique, exciting and impactful construction projects in our area. We are currently seeking skilled a journeyman to join our young, energetic and growing team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lift heavy loads up to 50lbs and navigate construction job site terrain
- Demonstrate skill in the safe operation of all power tools
- Be competent with reading blueprints
- Adhere to company policy and standards at all sites
- Display good manners and attitude toward co-workers, property owners, and occupants of the property
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years trades experience
- Understanding of construction principles and procedures
- Ability to work in a high stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
- Demonstrate competence in the areas of safety and project execution
- Willingness to travel out of town for projects
- Have a reliable vehicle for transportation
- Ability to show up on time or early
- Have a working cell phone
- Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Safety credentials are an asset (WHMIS, Fall Arrest, First Aid)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
