resulted in our little market becoming a bustling community hub, now providing Vancouver Island’s largest selection of organic, local and conventional produce, a full service butcher and deli, a boutique florist and garden centre, artisanal grocery, dairy & breads, a bulk foods section and most recently a new coffee bar, bringing us to over 10,000 square feet, buzzing with over 120 employees.

**THE ROLE**
- Do you love specialty coffee and tea? Do you have a passion for providing great customer service? If your answer is yes, we want you to join our Coffee Project Team at The Root Cellar as a Part-Time Barista
- Baristas are responsible for contributing to a welcoming, friendly, and high-quality customer experience through fantastic service, superior beverage preparation, and upkeep of store appearance.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:

- Provide enthusiastic and engaging customer service.
- Craft specialty beverages to a high quality standard.
- Gain product knowledge in order to better advise customers.
- Contribute to a welcoming and efficient work environment.
- Accurately perform cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Adhere to all food safety and cleanliness policies and procedures.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE COMES EQUIPPED WITH**:

- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Previous barista experience required.
- The ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Cash-handling accuracy.
- Full-Time availability, including mornings (starting at 6:30am), evenings (ending at 9:00pm), and weekends.

**THE DETAILS**:
This is a part-time position commencing promptly. This role is entitled to competitive wages, a culture of Teamwork, Collaboration & Continuous learning. As well as a 20% In-store discount on purchases.
