**The role**:
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in product management and operational inventory strategies. As an Inventory Specialist, you'll spearhead new initiatives that shape our local inventory and product management strategies. You'll champion a process-driven approach, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across our organization.

**What You'll Do**:
- Simplify and standardize inventory management practices, defining new standards, controls, and national KPIs.
- Collaborate on developing and executing a comprehensive retail product strategy, including product mix and local operations.
- Design, create, and implement documentation such as SOPs, processes, and policies to support inventory management and product lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain alignment with preferred vendors, optimizing service, inventory levels, revenue, and margin.
- Assist in overseeing visual merchandising standards and retail product mix for front-of-store excellence.
- Foster the sharing of best practices and category insights within Motion teams to drive sales, market share, and future strategies.
- Plan and forecast to ensure optimal stock inventory levels across all locations.
- Oversee stock ordering, ensuring accurate product selection and quantities.
- Cultivate strong relationships and communication with local teams and central Purchasing.
- Track and report on inventory performance metrics at both local and company-wide levels.
- Collaborate with local teams to support inventory management initiatives, such as inventory depletion tactics and bulk buys.
**What you bring**:
**Education & Experience**:
- Post-secondary degree in business, operations, logistics, or relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Retail, Healthcare, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Industry.
- Strong knowledge of Inventory management principles and analytic techniques in a decentralized environment.
- Proven track record of driving change and process improvement in operations, inventory, and warehouse management.
- Experience across multiple disciplines, including product lifecycle, retail operations, and revenue growth management.
**Skills & Abilities**:
- Advanced analytical capabilities and experience in data analytics.
- Proficiency in computer software (MS Office, Looker, Microsoft Navision, etc.).
- Exceptional customer engagement skills with a drive to deliver positive business outcomes.
- Strategic planning expertise, coupled with effective time management and prioritization skills.
