**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Practice safety, and comply with company National Safety Code (NSC) program requirements for Drivers
- Be familiar with the Motor Vehicle Act & Regulations (MVAR) and operate vehicle according to respective road safety requirements
- Assess and secure loads in compliance with MVAR (BC) and only drive loads that are safely secured
- Perform daily Trip Inspections, Driver Acknowledgement and Daily Log using mobile device prior to departure for all trips
- Maintain vehicle operations and cleanliness (inside and outside the vehicles)
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transport
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- Receive and provide packing slips for all deliveries
- Familiar and compliant with Transportation of Dangerous Goods requirements if/when cargo requires.

Perform additional tasks which may require on-the job training:

- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.

**Requirements**:

- Must possess a Class 3 or Class 5 drivers license with endorsement 20 with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills and strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients
- Ability to lift loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight
- Able to produce N-Print Driver’s Abstract within 10 days of request
- Provide Accident Claim History Report when requested
- 19 years of age or older
- Provide a Vision Accuity confirmation test

- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus
