Agricorp is looking for a **Manager, Program Design & Policy** to join our Program Development Division. This division is responsible for program analysis, product development and external relations with government partners and industry groups. The division also plays a role in the development of new programs and preparing program changes for operational readiness to ensure effective, timely, transparent and streamlined delivery.

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Program Development, you will provide leadership in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key leaders in Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), and other provincial agencies. You will lead responses to program-related issues, ensuring effective and efficient management of issues and of critical government relationships. This includes ensuring there is an integrated process and approach to support program issues management with our government partners, acting as the lead to collaborate and align across divisions. Using established processes and functional responsibilities, you will report the corporate response for the program by providing critical information to OMAFRA.

In this role you will:
Review government policies; analyze options, impacts, and feasibility; and provide a focus on qualitative and quantitative aspects of issues and present to the senior director, senior management and CEO.

Develop strategic corporate positions on government strategy and program priorities with the senior director that align with the corporate mission and vision, for approval by the CEO and Agricorp board.Present divisional, high level, high impact materials of critical complexity to senior management, Agricorp board, OMAFRA, AAFC, stakeholders, etc.Resolve highly complex and critical issues related to risk, resources, business and managementDevelop and maintain strategic relationship with key government partners, ensuring strong collaboration and cooperating for discussions and analysis on government issues, new policies and program priorities.Develop and recommend to the senior director, senior management and CEO, new program policy that is aligned with government direction and goals for Agricorp and OMAFRA.Establish and maintain internal links with other department managers in Program Delivery, Strategic Management and Communications, Information and Technology Services, and Corporate Services.
- Provide day-to-day direction, leadership and technical direction to the department.

**Job status**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $99,994 - $117,640
**Work status**: Full time in office, remote and hybrid work arrangements are available
**Location**: Must live and work in Ontario to perform this role

**Qualifications**: Minimum of five years’ experience in people management (supervisory/leadership experience), budget management, strategic business management and planning.

Experience in financial sector, government or public policy required.Agricultural experience, specific knowledge of financial or insurance sector program delivery processes and proficiency with project management methodologies and business analysis tools is an asset.
- Occasional travel within Ontario and to other provinces, to attend off-site government and industry meetings, is a requirement for this role.
