Globe Stamping does light metal stamping, die design, die construction, and finishing assembly. Located in Kitchener, Ontario, Globe Stamping has been supplying high quality stamped parts to customers for over 100 years.

**Press Setup Operator**

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity in our Stamping department. Your role will be an integral part of our stamping process, ensuring the presses are set up, and run efficiently and safely to produce the best quality parts for our customers. You will be challenged to meet production targets together with your team.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Operating stamping, tooling, blanking, and hand feed presses safely and efficiently
- Accurately and safely pack parts into appropriate bins to prepare for shipment
- Set up and removal of dies in stamping presses
- Loading coils into stamping equipment using a forklift or crane
- Adjusting coil feeding equipment
- Maximize quality and production as part of a team
- Conduct frequent part inspections for defects (requires good attention to details)
- Keeping workstations and work area clear, clean, orderly, and free of any safety hazards
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and helping to assist in their implementation
- Identifying problems with tools or machinery and communicating with maintenance and the tool shop

**Qualifications**

Press setup requires experience and training (more than press operation). If you have experience, that's great If you don't, we can teach you press setup if you have a drive to learn.
- Experience with progressive Press operation
- Experience in Press/Die setup.
- Working knowledge of presses, press feeders, straighteners, uncoilers
- Experience with coil fed press operation, trouble shooting of technical/mechanical events pertaining to machinery and tooling.
- Must be fully mobile, lifting and bending involved **(must be able to lift 35 - 50 lbs)**:

- Ability to stand for long periods (full shift).
