Surveyor Assistant

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technology.
- Analyze survey data to prepare detailed reports and maps.
- Determine property boundaries and prepare legal descriptions for land parcels.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met.
- Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and other technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land use.
- Maintain accurate records of survey results and documentation.
- Provide expert advice on land development issues as needed.
- Assist in site layout, grading, and measurements
- Set up and operate surveying instruments, including total stations and GPS systems
- Ensure accurate grading and elevation readings for construction projects
- Collaborate with site supervisors and construction teams to maintain project accuracy

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Surveyor or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, and levels.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of local zoning laws and regulations is a plus.
- Certification or licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) is highly desirable.
- Experienced in GNSS and Robotic total station

Pay: $24.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
