We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Superintendent to join our team at OCSCC 1106 in downtown Ottawa. The primary responsibility of this role is ensuring that all areas of the building are kept clean, well-maintained, and presentable. This includes common areas, hallways, amenities, and outdoor spaces. You will work closely with the Superintendent, the Property Manager, and the Board members to ensure the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the condominium property.
Key responsibilities:

- Daily cleaning of building common areas including hallways, lobbies, elevators, and stairwells.
- Maintain cleanliness of amenity spaces such as gyms, lounge, pool (regular pool testing), and other recreational areas.
- Regularly emptying garbage, recycling, and disposal bins throughout the building, and switching out compactor bins as needed.
- Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas (door handles, elevator buttons, etc.).
- Performing minor maintenance tasks (changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.) as needed.
- Assisting the Superintendent with routine inspections and ensuring building standards are met.
- Responding to cleaning or minor repair requests from residents.
- Ensuring that outdoor areas are clean and free of debris.
- Assisting in managing inventory and ordering cleaning supplies when needed.
- Reporting any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Superintendent.

Qualifications:

- Experience in janitorial or cleaning services, preferably in a residential or commercial setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and walking throughout the property.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and maintenance.
- Good communication skills, responsiveness, and ability to work collaboratively with building staff and residents.
- Must be proactive.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair is an asset.
