**Overview**
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in developing testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing
- Help plan and organize testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, regression tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests)
- Support the development of test plans, test scripts, and test cases, and execute these against various components. Collaborate with the testing lead, IT lead, and project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of required systems.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high performing testing team.
**Requirements (MUST HAVE)**:
- Work with team, BAs, stakeholders (internal and external) across the program to develop clearly understand defined user stories.
- Creating and executing test cases, focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements
- Knowledge of testing case management type solution, front-end, web-based technologies and data-mining/reporting-based COTS tools encompassing feasibility studies, requirements definition, analysis, prototyping, system design, implementation, testing and maintenance (Nice to have)
- Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies, familiarity with ITIL Processes for Change/Release Management, relational database technologies, and use of information retrieval packages using SQL and other query languages.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and relevant guidelines
- Test planning - Involves activities of defining the objectives of testing and the approach for meeting test objectives.
- Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS) i.e Case Management, Curam, Sibel, Oracle eBS
- Experience with Azure DevOps tools in testing activities.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Strong experience in planning, organizing, and executing comprehensive testing efforts.
- Skilled in both manual and automated testing across functional, non-functional, and integration levels.
- Proficient with structured development methodologies, SDLC, CASE tools, and version control systems.
- Solid understanding of various test types (unit, regression, load, performance) and UAT processes.
- Capable of creating test strategies, plans, scripts, and data across technical and business use cases.
- Effective communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proven team player.
- Knowledge of programming languages and object-oriented testing environments.
- Experience with SQL, information retrieval tools, and accessibility standards (AODA).
- Skilled in automation scripting and mentoring junior testers.
**Technical Expertise**:
- Strong knowledge of test planning, execution, and defect tracking using Azure DevOps.
- Experienced in front-end/web and data/reporting-based system testing.
- Competent in writing and executing test cases tied to user stories and functional requirements.
- Experienced in defect analysis, troubleshooting, and quality reporting.
**Communication & Project Management**:
- Able to estimate tasks, manage schedules, and participate in documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Strong collaboration with stakeholders, business analysts, developers, and clients.
**Agile Experience**:
- Proven ability to work in Agile environments, prioritize tasks, and work closely with product owners and stakeholders using Azure DevOps tools.
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.25 per week
