Vehicle Porter

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Car Porter/Vehicle Delivery Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the pick-up and delivery of customer vehicles as well as moving customer vehicles from the service mall to the designated parking area and returning the vehicle to the customer at pick up.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Contributes to customer satisfaction by providing prompt, efficient, and quality service.
- Assist in the picking up and delivering of customer vehicles
- Coordinates the daily pick up schedule
- Works with the Appointment coordinator to maximize the number of pick ups
- Works with the Warranty clerk for PuDL claiming purposes
- Works with the Reconditioning supervisor to deliver vehicles to customers
- Maintains a Vehicle delivery and pick up log
- Driving and handling all cars responsibly to ensure damage prevention.
- Pays attention to “small details” before delivering a car to a customer.
- Installs and removes protective coverings on vehicles.
- Maintains inventory of vehicle protection materials.
- Keep the Service Drive, Shop, Areas and Offices clean and professional by emptying garbage or cleaning floors as necessary.

**Additional expectations**:

- Greet customers upon arrival
- Transporting vehicles to and from the dealership
- Driving off-site to run dealership errands when required.
- Clean shuttle vehicles
- Fill shuttles with gas daily
- Wash service mall floors
- Remove scrap cardboard from technician bays
- Sweep all service mall and shop entrances
- Ensure entrances are kept clear of snow during the day
- Porting vehicles from service mall
- Porting vehicles from back lot to customer pick up area
- Opening and closing Service Department
- Occasional customer shuttle service may be required
- Additional duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Valid, clean **Class 4 or 5** Alberta Driver license
- Position requires walking distances, bending, getting in and out of vehicles frequently, being outdoors frequently
- Safety shoes
