Accounting Technician

Carling Propane Inc. has been providing propane delivery and support services to commercial and residential customers through-out central and southern Ontario for over 35 years. We are currently looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Accounting Technician to join our Holland Landing team, with a focus on supporting the sales invoicing of our transportation division.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing invoices in a timely and accurate manner for internal and external customers
- Exporting the inputted data into various reports and analysis, to be provided to management and customers on an on-going basis
- Report preparation of pricing, sales analysis and margins for internal and external purposes
- Preparation of sales analysis to support government fuel volumes filings
- Working with other team members on process improvements to maximize efficiency gains as a result of a recent accounting software upgrade
- Various accounting tasks in support of the Accountant
- Maintenance of records of training and safety verification documents and filings
- Performing various administrative duties for the company owner

Requirements include:

- College diploma in accounting \ business administration or equivalent in experience
- Minimum three years related accounting experience
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Attention to detail with high degree of numerical accuracy
- Proficient with Excel at an intermediate skill level
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Deadline oriented
