As a **seasonal Event Staff**, you will provide support to the Event Team in executing and bringing to life legacy events such as _In Search of Christmas Spirit_ and _SnowDays._ You are passionate about the guest experience, working with a team in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working outdoors. This position is seasonal and perfect if you are looking for a part-time job, with flexible hours during the holiday and winter season.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Welcome and check in guests to the event using an online or manual ticketing system, waivers or other procedures.
- Answer questions and provide direction to guests during the event regarding the experience and other relevant destination information.
- Share relevant Christmas, _SnowDays_ Festival, and other destination information to visitors.
- Crowd control and point of entry supervision.
- Assist in setting up and tearing down event sites.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of event sites.
- Manage sound systems for event sites.
- Accurately track event attendance, visitor trends, or other relevant information. Communicate results with Event Supervisor for end of day reporting to leadership.
- Adapt quickly to changing event needs as directed by supervisors or management.
- Conduct and track event surveys to capture visitor experience.
- Facilitate and/or monitor special event activities such as (but not limited to) fat biking, cross country skiing, sledding, tubing, and curling activity stations.
- Maintain and supervise fire pits and ensure all fire safety requirements are followed.
- Clear snow and de-ice activity and guest areas on the event site.
- Follow and administer health & safety protocols.
- Adhere to all Town of Banff and Parks Canada special event policies and permit requirements.
- Report any challenges or concerns to the supervisor on duty with proposed solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.

**The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications and experience.**
- Experience in events or hospitality required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various winter weather conditions while standing and/or walking for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift items such as fire pits, tables, and sign frames.
- Ability to work cohesively with the event team with mínimal supervision.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required.
- Experience with SimpleTix or other ticketing platforms is an asset.
- First Aid CPR certified an asset.
- Bilingual - Fluent in French (written and verbal) an asset.

Seasonal employment agreements can range from mid-November to early February, dependent on your availability.
- ** Christmas event period**: November 14-December 31, 2024.
- ** SnowDays festival period**: January 17-February 2, 2025.
