The Kimel Family Translational Imaging-Genetics Laboratory is a large multidisciplinary research laboratory dedicated to discovering the causes of and advancing treatments for severe mental illness. The focus of the laboratory is using brain imaging to understand human brain function, psychiatric illness, and treatment outcomes. The laboratory is located in the Brain Health Imaging Centre at 250 College Street but travel between sites may be required. The lab includes a group of PIs; Drs. Colin Hawco, Stephanie Ameis, Aristotle Voineskos, Nicholas Neufeld, and Erin Dickie, as well as other collaborating scientists and trainees.
We are seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst who will provide support to the Kimel Family Lab’s research team and projects. The Research Analyst will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, neuroscientists, engineers, and clinical researchers interested in understanding brain function and dysfunction. Current projects focus on using imaging markers to identify disease trajectories under various treatment regimes, including repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and pharmacotherapies. The Research Analyst will provide support in maintaining neuroimaging data collected from multiple research studies and will assist in quality control and analysis of this data. You will also assist the team with system administration of a computing cluster that is used in the daily research endeavors of scientists, fellows, and trainees. In this role you will help maintain both user access and hardware of the cluster. You will also be required to assist with data entry and cleaning; updating and maintaining electronic databases; conducting searches of electronic resources; as well as preparing data for presentations and peer-reviewed research papers. Other research related administrative duties are also required.
