**Program Centre Supervisor**:
The City of Delta Arena Programs is seeking passionate, enthusiastic individuals to create an impact with their leadership and commitment to sports and wellness. We are looking for individuals with strong customer service and leadership skills who are committed to working with children and families to deliver first class skating opportunities in our community. In this role you will ensure customer satisfaction by anticipating and exceeding customer expectations while providing diverse arena programs.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**
- In collaboration with supervisors and colleagues, the incumbent will develop, deliver and assess the recreational ice skating lessons, drop in public skating sessions and other programs.
- Train and supervise recreation attendants, program leaders, contract instructors and volunteers.
- Lead activity programs as assigned.
- Ensures for safe and proper use of equipment and facilities.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by courses in recreation and some related community recreation experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ice skating instruction or coaching experience.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License for the Province of British Columbia
- First Aid Certificate
- Ability to communicate effectively with participants and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and the general public.
- Knowledge and experience working with the Xplor Recreation registration system would be an asset.
- Completion of HIgh Five Certification, Recreation Skate Instructor course and/or a Recreation Leadership Diploma is considered an asset.

This position is seasonal September to March with potential opportunities to support other recreation departments including but not limited to Summer Camps, Sports & Gym, and other Community Recreation Programs.
