**Administrative Coordinator**:
The Student Wellness Centre (SWC) is an interdisciplinary Primary Health Centre, committed to providing holistic health care to over 26500 students, their spouses and dependents, in a wellness-focused environment.
**Primary Purpose**:Responsible for leadership of all clerical and admin services within the SWC, the admin coordinator provides exceptional administrative support to the Director and Clinical leaders and serves as a main point of contact for staff, patients and clients.
The admin coordinator collaborates on the creation of admin policies, procedures and processes and recommends efficiency to meet the department’s goals and objectives, while ensuring that all activities, processes, procedures, and policies are compliant with university and college policies and procedures.
**Typical Duties or Accountabilities**:
- Under the direction of the Director, provide administrative support to our large interdisciplinary team
- Exercise decision-making and problem-solving to ensure priorities and deadlines are met and take initiative to move beyond completion of assigned tasks to plan for future changes or requirements
- Facilitate process of evidence-based data-based decision making through the gathering and analysis of patient data from the EMR
- Support all administrative functions of the SWC including, but not limited to day-to-day operations, supervision of admin staff, scheduling of clinicians, residents, and students on practicum
- Co-create, monitor, and update policies, procedures, and processes, and recommend and integrate efficiencies to meet the department’s goals and objectives; provide timely and innovative responses to clinical needs
- Serves as the main contact and resource person for space, building and maintenance, IT equipment and the Electronic Medical Record (MedAccess)
- Coordinate the orientation of staff, residents and students to USask and the SWC model of care and use of MedAccess
- Manage and oversee all billings to the Ministry of Health for a complex fee-for-service billing system for all FFS staff
- Assist the Director with operational and special activities as required.
**Education**:
Completion of a recognized post-secondary administrative program diploma is required. A business administration certificate or an undergraduate degree in a related field would be considered an asset. An equivalent level of education and experience may be considered.
**Experience**:
A minimum of seven years’ experience providing confidential administrative leadership within a fast-paced environment is required. A minimum 5 years of direct supervision, leadership and team building is required. The incumbent should be self-directed and highly motivated, with demonstrated leadership abilities; Knowledge of the University of Saskatchewan policy and procedures is required. Requires a high degree of understanding of university and structure, policies, and processes. Experience working in diverse and inclusive environments is required. Proficient written and oral communication skills are required. Understanding of medical terminology would be an asset.

Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail and accuracy; effectively work both independently and as part of a team; strong interpersonal and people management skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to accomplish goals; communication and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to function in a high volume setting with numerous and conflicting deadlines; ability to handle interactions with tact, discretion, confidentially and cultural sensitivity; self-motivated and creative with the ability to follow direction and at the time exercise initiative when required; highly motivated and self-directed; excellent problem solving analysis and problem solving skills; and a general knowledge of basic office procedures. Strong computer skills and confidence in ability to learn and use new technology is essential. Provide day-to-day direction and leadership for clinic staff. Has demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop others. Has demonstrated ability to inspire and lead by example that guides change and is committed to continuous quality improvement.
