**Position Summary**

The Body Shop Parts Advisor is responsible for the control and maintenance of all parts associated with the vehicle repair process in the Body Shop. This includes tracking, receiving, staging, and returning parts, as well as maintaining accurate records in dealership systems. The role ensures timely availability of parts for repairs, contributing to an efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Parts Receiving & Tracking**
- Receive parts from suppliers and reconcile against order lists
- Track pending parts (S.O.P.s or backorders) and confirm receipt
- Tag parts to appropriate Repair Order (RO) numbers
- Prepare and stage loaded parts carts for technicians
- Verify parts for damage and notify Estimator or Body Shop Manager as needed

**Systems & Documentation**
- Update Mitchell Repair Center and PBS dealership management systems
- Identify and report pricing discrepancies from estimates

**Coordination & Communication**
- Work with the Scheduler to queue parts carts for work assignments
- Maintain open communication with technicians, estimators, and management
- Participate in daily floor meetings

**Supplies Management**
- Receive general supplies such as paint, fillers, and materials
- Track pending supply orders and reconcile received goods
- Ensure proper storage and organization of materials

**Other Duties**
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with overall department organization
- Report any issues promptly to the Manager

**What We’re Looking For**
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of automotive parts and body shop operations an asset
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable using computer-based inventory or management systems

**Education & Experience**
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary in automotive or parts management an asset
- Previous experience in a parts advisor or similar role preferred
- Valid G Class Driver’s License

**Special Conditions**
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and movement between work areas
