**_The role of Property Bookkeeper is one that has the following responsibilities: _**
- Full cycle bookkeeping
- Cash management & Banking
- Preparation of regular government remittances and returns (payroll, HST,WSIB,CRA)
- Maintain vendor records and files
- Performing reconciliations of accounts bank accounts, AP, AR
- Inter-company transactions
- Balance sheet, income statements, P & L
- Trial Balance
- Year-end processing for CA
- Prepare month-end close entries and provide analysis of monthly operating variances and account analysis
- Maintain CAM and TAX recovery model for tenants and prepare monthly recovery accruals
- Prepare year-end cost statements and final billing to tenants
- Assist Property Management personnel in financial accounting matters
- Use company software platforms like YARDI and Office.
- Prepare various accounting reports and analyses as requested
- Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns
- Work on other projects as assigned
- Providing management with accurate and timely financial information
- Tenant document control and tenant liaison and communication
- Filing and data entry
- Lease analyses for proper data entry
- Provide and maintain courteous, professional and efficient service to internal and external clients and business associates by responding to requests for information and redirecting inquiries beyond own scope of expertise in order to maintain good levels of customer service
- Complete other tasks as required

**_Requirements and skills: _**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel-mandatory)
- Experience using AccountEdge, QuickBooks
- Administrative and filing systems management
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in all aspects of bookkeeping
- Experience using Yardi is a plus

**_You already have: _**
- Exposure to the Real Estate/Property Management field
- Knowledge of administrative practices, office policies and procedures, accounting procedures, and working in a professional office environment
- Fully computer literate with knowledge of Excel and Word
- Experience using YARDI (not required but an asset)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Team player attitude
- Ability to adapt to change and multi-tasking
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Good public relations skills
- Ability to interact at all organizational levels
- Good fit for our company culture
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
