**TYPICAL DUTIES OF A UKRAINIAN TRANSLATOR**:

- Read through material in English, ascertain understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and translate it into Ukrainian, making sure to preserve the original meaning.
- Refer to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation.
- Use highly specialised translation software to encourage efficiency and consistency.
- Adhere to industry quality standards and ensure that all completed work meets customer requirements.
- Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of the translation.
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
- Follow up with internal team members to ensure the translation meets their needs.
- Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure)
- Able to work onsite in our Ottawa or Montreal office.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills & Experience**
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least five (5) years experience in translating technical documents from English to Ukrainian.
- Must possess a university degree or college diploma, translation preferred.
- Must have experience using computer-assisted translation software, Trados preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Aptitude and interest to learn and develop.
- Able to work in our Ottawa or Edmonton office.
