There4Care acts as the contracting entity that hires independent contractors (PSWs, DSWs, nurses) for client services. We are a dedicated in-home healthcare support service that provides compassionate and personalized care to seniors and individuals in Peterborough, Ontario. We prioritize client dignity, independence, and well-being by offering professional, reliable, and respectful care.

Job Overview

We are seeking skilled and compassionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs) with a minimum of 3 years experience to join our team as independent contractors. In this role, you will provide high-quality, client-centered care to individuals in their homes, supporting their daily living activities while promoting independence and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

Assist client with personal care, including dressing, grooming and other personal care supports as needed or as per the care plan

Provide mobility assistance, including transfers and positioning advocacy and assistance as needed

Assist with meal preparation, feeding (as needed per care plan) and light housekeeping

Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s quality of life

Follow care plans, communicating any changes in client needs to the owner(s)

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, completing client case notes for submission at the end of each shift

Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications & Requirements

Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized institution

CPR & First Aid Certification (current)

Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the 6 months)

Experience in home care, long-term care, or a similar setting preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and adapt to client needs

Reliable transportation to travel to client homes
