**Title**: Administrative Assistant - Three (3) month contract**Based at**: 9 Napoleon Road - Barrie, Ontario**Job Purpose**: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Administrative Assistant is accountable to provide administrative support to the Research and Development department.**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Organize general department daily operations, provide clerical assistance, computer software support as necessary, Creation of presentations using PowerPoint, Excel
- Work with the project coordinator to create and maintain all major projects on MS Project
- Prepare approval packages necessary for product approvals and certification, update and distribute approval lists
- Maintain drawing files and engineering binders
- Control inventory movement out of department
- Take and maintain meeting minutes
- Maintain SR-ED report, Maintain Hearth Product information spreadsheet
- Review and create any necessary forms for department
- Research topics, products, suppliers and standards, Research the most cost effective item, task or supplier
- Administration of MS Project, Test Agency Sites
- Back-up for label, barcode, manual, leaflet, rafting plate creation
- Maintain office equipment

**Education and Experience**:

- College Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration or other relevant discipline
- Three years’ experience in a related industry
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite CS4 or higher; Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Excellent organizational skills
