**Kitchen Coordinator**

The Lethbridge Food Bank (LFB) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1982 to serve the needs of the community in Lethbridge and the surrounding areas. The LFB team works in cohesion to not only provide the fundamental need of food security but to help our clients grow and self-sustain.

The Lethbridge Food Bank is seeking to fill a full-time Kitchen Coordinator position. The full-time Kitchen Coordinator position is responsible for facilitating our lunch program, kitchen & food management, assist in volunteer training and supervision, overall cleanliness of kitchen spaces, and assisting Executive Director in related areas. This position reports directly to the Operations Lead. Occasional evenings or weekend work may be required.

**Some Responsibilities include**:

- Facilitate Lunch program
- Work with Administrator and Operations Lead to coordinate with schools.
- Fill orders and assemble lunches with the assistance of volunteers.
- Coordinate and communicate lunch deliveries requirements with Administrator.
- Work with Operations Lead and Administrator to place orders as needed.
- Kitchen & Food Management
- Kitchen Breakdown.
- Sorting Bread & Produce.
- Stocking & Re-stocking Food.
- Frozen Food Maintenance.
- Expired Food Management.
- Bundles.
- Volunteer Support
- Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure there are appropriate duties for daily volunteers.
- Managing and supervising volunteers.
- Training volunteers.
- Ensure kitchen protocols are being followed.
- Providing general team support.

**Specific skills and qualifications: (LFB will help attain any qualifications if hired)**
- WHMIS Certification
- Safe Food Handling Certification
- Organized
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work with high acuity individuals
- Ability to lift 30 - 60 lbs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
