This position is reports to the Manufacturing Manager and takes daily direction from the Production Team Lead.

**Education, Skills and Competencies Required**:

- Minimum of 3 years production experience
- Secondary school graduation diploma
- 3+ years experience running production machinery
- 3+ years using conveyer system, gluing units and production line experience
- Good understanding of die cutting and stripping
- Computer experience and using Human Machine Interface (HMI)
- Experience in operation of material handling equipment, such as a pallet truck
- Sensor knowledge required
- Ability to operate scales
- Able to follow written instructions, read and understand master specification files and proofs
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Good data entry, measurement, inventory and math skills
- Strong problem solving / root cause analysis skills
- Good mechanical troubleshooting, aptitude and ability
- Demonstrates an ability to be self-motivated towards productivity improvements, safety and quality awareness
- Physical ability to lift, bend and pull equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Must be able to work without supervision and in a team environment
- Must be flexible and willing to learn
- Ability to work overtime on short notice to meet production needs and customer demands

**Responsibilities**:

- Set and runs production machinery to manufacture products as per the work order (Flexographic presses and packaging former)
- Prepares and mounts plates
- Fills UV inks and solvents for machine
- Fabricate boxes and packets on packaging forming equipment
- Perform quality tests to ensure a quality product is produced. Inspect and ensure the finished product and packaging meets or exceeds the quality standards
- Set machine counters
- Responsible for daily output sheets
- Exhibit diligent practices in workmanship standards and work in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures
- Consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems. Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal incorporating 5S standards within the operations and other areas as required
- Continuously review current processes and search out methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and non value added work or process. Suggest improvements to production orders and running condition of equipment & maintenance
- Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contribute and participate in team decision making
- Provide support in project work, other special requests and duties as assigned
- Monthly Physical inventory
- To perform monthly Operator Preventative Maintenance procedures and complete check list
- Maintain Kanban of all raw materials
- Reports any issues and coordinates problem solving through Production Team Lead
