Production Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the employees under their scope are following all safety and organizational process and procedures, performing well on the job, and receiving the appropriate feedback to drive continuous improvement. The Supervisor will organize, plan, and delegate tasks to their team accordingly, while setting targets and providing guidance where necessary.
**Responsibilities**:
Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job's key responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to team members.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths and capabilities.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team and individuals.
- Manage resources efficiently to meet team objectives.
- Assess the performance of team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Recognize and reward achievements and contributions.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and between other departments.
- Act as a conduit for feedback between team members and upper management.
- Provide regular updates to upper management on team performance and progress.
- Encourage and support the development of skills and competencies within the team.
- Help the team navigate challenges and solve problems collaboratively.
- Foster communication and collaboration between different functions.
- Make decisions within the scope of the team's responsibilities.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment.
- Engage team members in the decision-making process and organizational goals.
- Monitoring and reporting on KPI's in relation to departmental goals, and actively seeks out ways to continuously improve within the department and team.Ensures procedures are being followed and implement corrective actions where necessary.
**Job Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership/supervisory role, preferably within manufacturing.
- Well versed in setting targets, allocating work to employees, and communicating precise instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to use Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to drive business objectives and operational excellence.
- Exceptional leadership skills - active listening, strong communication, and coaching/mentorship skills that motivates team to reach targets.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage a variety of tasks/projects from inception to completion.
- Experience within the automotive industry is an asset.
