**What We Are Looking For**:
We are currently looking for someone with experience in the Metal Stamping/ Manufacturing Environment, to work as a Lead Hand at our facility. This position will work afternoon shift which operates Monday-Thursday from 3:45pm-2:15am.

**Responsibilities**
- Assign work to a _competent _operator.
- Ensure that all personnel are in compliance with all government, industry, and company and “best practices” standards of operation and that all health and safety practices and procedures are being followed. Report any deviation to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Responsible for the start-up and/or shutdown of the Production facility as directed ensuring the security of the building and its contents.
- Maintain familiarity with shipping department policies and procedures required.
- Assist the Supervisor/Manager in periodic Employee Performance Evaluations of all staff under your department.
- Perform all required training of new employees as instructed by Supervisor/Manager.
- Perform all duties or reassignment of duties as directed by the Production Manager.
- Report to the Supervisor/Manager any corrective or disciplinary concern when deemed necessary and document the same. Any further implications should be addressed by the Supervisor/ Production Manager.
- Perform any required task (for which you are qualified) in the Production operations: Trouble-shooting equipment, Maintenance and repair, Problem-solving, Machine set-ups/operation
- Perform daily inspections of the production area to identify maintenance, safety and quality problems and report to Supervisor/Manager as needed.
- Report to your Supervisor/Manager and be involved in investigating, analyzing and identifying the root causes of any problems and conflicts encountered in the daily operations. Working together with your Supervisor/Manager and fellow employees assist in the necessary corrective and preventive actions.
- Responsible to work safely following legislated and company safety rules and practices. Report any unsafe conditions that you cannot correct immediately. Support a safe work community.
- Perform job specific training of the operator either directly or delegating the task to another worker who has been deemed as competent. Document and update training, submitting training updates on a regular basis.
- Perform scheduled line changeovers or set-ups as required to meet these priorities. Ensure quality first-off is completed and that production is ready to run.
- Assist the Supervisor/Production Manager in meeting work order priorities.

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years' experience in lead hand position.
- Experience in a metal stamping/assembly environment including operation, set-up, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of basic quality control principles
- Knowledge of legal obligations and responsibilities.
- Current training in first aid and CPR.
- Effective communication skills
- Basic computer skills including word and excel.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour
