**Responsibilities**:
System/Network Support Specialist
Techworks is expanding and looking for a Full-time System/Network Support Specialist in the Edmonton/Nisku area to join our growing technical team
In this role you will be responsible for supporting our diverse customer base. You should be familiar with IT industry standard procedures and have great troubleshooting skills to analyze and solve a diverse range of computer, network, hardware and software issues.
This position will have you directly assist clients through telephone and remote support, as well as onsite client visits. You will be able to demonstrate your aptitude in solving client issues and show a commitment to customer service. All while working within a team of talented and supportive technical staff This position will also allow you to work remotely from your own location.
Education and Experience:
You should have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the IT field, with experience working with clients, solving their problems and implementing solutions. Post secondary education and IT related certifications are an asset.
**Required Skills**:
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills and experience
- Attention to details and early warning signs of problems
- Experience implementing and supporting infrastructure and Cloud Solutions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain clearly and support non-technical users
- Customer focused
- Adaptability and teamwork skills
Knowledge of:
- Networking concepts and server level support
- Microsoft Technologies (Active Directory, Windows Servers and Office Products)
- Virtualization (Hyper-V and VMWare)
- Cloud offerings (Office 365, G-Suite, MS Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud solutions
- General Computer issues including hardware
Other:
Position participates in pager rotation schedule
This is a fulltime position, Monday to Friday
