We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team and support the Regional General Manager in overseeing the operations of the Northwinds Hotel. This is a mid-level management position where we value personality and work ethic over specific skills. Our company is rapidly growing, and we offer exceptional opportunities for career advancement. **Salary**: $50,000 to $53,000 Full-time/permanent Shifts: 8-hour shifts (Weekdays, Weekends, nights & Holidays) **Key Responsibilities** **Human Resources**:* - Promotes the Basecamp brand. - Trains and supports the housekeeping and guest services team. - Schedules staff and stays within the labor budget. - Allocates daily staff to duties and room allocations. - Ensures awareness of house rules and policies. - Follows all Basecamp policies. - Performs other tasks as assigned by the Regional General Manager. **Operation Standards**:* - Leads by example and supervises daily operations. - Ensures staff provides the expected level of service. - Works with the Regional General Manager to create and maintain policies and procedures. - Proactively handles guest comments/issues. - Helps achieve departmental goals and contributes ideas. - Collaborates with the front desk, Housekeeping and maintenance to ensure pre-arrival requirements are met. - Handles guest requests and communicates with other departments as needed. **Operations**:* - Helps oversee the operations functions of the property. - Ensures rooms/units are accurately set up for incoming and outgoing guests. - Audits and reconciles daily labor. - Maintains par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen, and uniforms. - Ensures cleaning and disinfecting standards are always maintained. - Schedules and tracks deep cleanings. - Inspects and documents repairs and cleanliness of property. **Requirements**: - Hotel experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role. - Post-secondary education in hotel, business management, or a related field. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and point of sale software. - Outstanding leadership skills. - Great problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrates superior written and oral communication skills. **Salary**: $50,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
