As an RV Technician you will be performing pre-delivery inspections, accurately diagnosing, and repairing a variety of technical issues, inspecting, and adjusting, or overhaul recreational vehicles and travel trailers.
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, participating in training, assisting co-workers, completing jobs with efficiency and other tasks as required.
RV Technicians know a little bit about everything such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, etc. If you can do any one of these, we’ll teach you the rest
Service Manager**:
- Examine/troubleshoot and diagnose units needing repair and maintenance.
- Discuss repairs and communicate additional requests with the Service Manager.
- Provide plan work procedures and labor time estimates to the Service Manager.
- Install/repair and maintain interior and exterior components on motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheel trailers such as roof, siding, windows, doors, awnings, vents, floor cabinets, counters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, propane gas systems, batteries and charging systems, body, and structural components.
- Install accessories, perform pre-delivery inspections, troubleshoot, repair and conduct maintenance on propane gas and electric appliances - furnace, refrigerator, water heaters, and A/C units.
- Install hitches - including fifth wheel and wiring of tow vehicles.
- Use testing equipment / troubleshooting techniques / manufacturers specs and internet websites.
- Monitor repair time and update Service Manager regularly.
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on RV care and operation.
- Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs.
- Attend company and factory training and keep current with factory technical bulletins.
- Understand and follow federal, provincial, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)**:
- Good manual dexterity and balance while working off the ground.

- High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); or 6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous RV technician and forklift experience preferred and considered an asset (2-3 years preferred).
- Propane License or Red Seal considered and asset.
- Journeyman preferred.
- Valid driver's license and Technician Certification are desirable.
