Wood Mountain, Canada Whitemud Resources Inc. Full time

Whitemud Resources Inc. is looking for reliable Process Operators to monitor and operate processing units and equipment at our Metakaolin Processing Plant based in Wood Mountain, SK.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate a computerized control panel from a central control room to monitor and optimize physical and chemical processes for several processing units.
- Control process start-up, shut-down, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor outside process equipment and operate powered equipment including wheel loaders and lift trucks.
- Adjust equipment, valves, pumps, controls, and process equipment.
- Authorize or co-sign maintenance work orders.
- Shut down, isolate, and prepare process units or production equipment for maintenance.
- Sample products, perform tests, record data, carry out statistical process control on process operations, and generate production logs.
- Develop operating procedures for normal operation, start-up, and shut-down of unit.
- Participate in safety audits and programs as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- May rotate between different processing units during shift cycles.
- Work in a team with shared supervisory responsibilities and participate in training other workers.
- May be cross-trained in a skilled trade and work in the trade during shift cycles.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of secondary school is required - mathematics, chemistry, physics, or process operation concentrations are an asset.
- Experience working in heavy industry such as mining, mineral processing, oil and gas, power, food processing, refrigeration, or other related manufacturing industries.
- Provincial power engineering, compressor operator, or refrigeration certification is an asset.
- Certification in the transportation of dangerous goods (TDG), first aid, firefighting, or workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS) may be required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.

Pay: $32.50-$35.00 per hour

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- power engineering: 2 years (preferred)
