Network Analyst

Servus is growing We are currently looking for a** Network Analyst** in our** Data Technology and Infrastructure department** in Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure Services, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
**Network Administration & Support**
- Configure, manage, and optimize **WAN/LAN/SD-WAN** infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for network incidents, including troubleshooting **firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, and VPN configurations**.
- Conduct **root cause analysis** on recurring issues and implement preventive solutions.
- Maintain network **monitoring tools** to ensure uptime and performance (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).

**Network Security & Compliance**
- Implement and manage **firewall rules**, **VPNs**, and **network access controls**.
- Support **cloud networking**within **Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments**.
- Ensure compliance with **security best practices, policies, and risk management processes**.
- Assist in **incident response** and security audits.

**Network Design & Optimization**
- Participate in the **design, documentation, and deployment** of scalable network solutions.
- Support enterprise networking projects involving **Cisco (Catalyst/Nexus), Palo Alto, SDWAN and F5 Load Balancers**.
- Implement and optimize **BGP, OSPF, VRF, VLAN, and QoS configurations**.
- Assist with **disaster recovery planning** and network redundancy strategies.

**Collaboration & Documentation**
- Work with IT Security, business teams, and external vendors on technical implementations.
- Maintain up-to-date **network documentation**, including configurations and topology diagrams.
- Provide input on network **capacity planning** and **infrastructure improvements**.

**Requirements**:

- **5-8 years** of experience in network engineering or administration in a corporate environment.
- Experience with **Cisco routers & switches (Catalyst, Nexus, ASR), SDWAN Viptela or Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 load balancers**.
- Strong understanding of **network security protocols** (IPsec, SSL, NAT/PAT, VPN).
- Experience troubleshooting **Layer 2/3 protocols** (ARP, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, STP).
- Knowledge of **cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure**.
- Experience with **PowerShell or automation scripting** for network administration is a plus.
- **Bachelor’s degree** in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Cisco CCNP** (preferred) or **CCNA** with strong hands-on experience.
