**Position Summary**:
The Cook is primarily responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality fillings in a food production facility. This role involves following standardized recipes, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring that all products meet quality specifications. The Cook will work as part of a team to meet production schedules and support continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook fillings according to standardized recipes and production schedules.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistent product quality.
- Operate and maintain cooking equipment, such as kettles, mixers, and ovens, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure that products are cooked to specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine cleaning of equipment and utensils.
- Record production data accurately, including batch numbers, ingredient usage, and cooking times.
- Assist in the development and improvement of recipes and cooking processes.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production schedules.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen or food production facility.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 22kg.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP guidelines is preferred.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to work in a hot, humid environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move heavy ingredients and equipment as required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.32-$23.44 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
