Food Production Coordinator

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team. The All Dried Up Kitchen Department offers an array of dehydrated foods. The Food Production Coordinator for this unit is responsible for supporting the Food Production Manager in ensuring that all projects are completed in a timely manner with the highest quality products delivered. This individual works with the Food Production Manager to fulfill wholesale orders, and complete tasks associated with the smooth daily operations of the kitchen and related organizational activities. This position may also interact with clients to cultivate and steward organizational relationships.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**KITCHEN**
- Prep and Cook food items consistently and adhere to established recipes and processes.
- Maintain a safe working environment using proper food handling skills and safety guidelines.
- Complete product procedures and tasks such as setup, food preparation, cleanup and closing.
- Load and unload dehydrators with prepared soups and meals.
- Deep clean kitchen environment and dehydrators.
- Cook and bake large batches of meals.
- Grind, package and label soups and other meals.
- Adhere to all the health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
**ADMINISTRATIVE**
- Record production and other partner organizations information in appropriate tracking documents as well as the inventory tracker.
- Communicate with the Manager any issues in meeting production and delivery agreements.
- Communicate with the manager and or the finance officer and sales team when orders are shipped/delivered.
- Ensure inventory numbers are updated at a regular interval (weekly). Inventory updates need to be done both in the inventory system (or spreadsheets) and on the online store.
- Use a first-in-first-out (FIFO) method to ship and deliver items.
- Pick online store orders and handle shipment of incoming orders.
- Prepare packing slips for regular and/or large wholesale orders.
- Box product or delegate this task, so that it can be delivered by the driver.
- Ensure receipts and invoices are sent to the Finance officer in a timely manner.
**REQUIREMENTS**

- Well-organized, detail oriented and hard working
- Strong analytical skills, positive and proactive
- Excellent time management, able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong in communication and interpersonal skills.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma
- Skilled in using kitchen equipment including knives and gas stove
- Food handlers certificate
- CPR training
- Basic skills in Mathematics
- Must be able to use Google Workspace.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
