Position Summary

**Qualifications**:
Education and Experience
- A University degree in a relevant field from a recognized university with Canadian accreditation or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in data entry.
- Understanding of regulatory framework and research funding opportunities and guidelines is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
- Excellent organizational skills including time-management.
- Detail oriented.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills for internal and external communication; excellent skills in written and spoken English (French is an asset); exceptional spelling and grammatical skills with advanced editing and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to independently identify issues, plan improvements, measure success and continue improvement.
- Professional demeanour, people skills, and the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of support, administrative, management, clinicians and researchers, and study participants.
- Demonstrated ability to manage routine correspondence, multiple tasks/projects, a diversified workload, rapidly changing priorities, and challenging deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Critical thinking ability with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.

Selection Process
- Are new entrants into the work force, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field;
- Have not previously participated in a NOHFC-funded internship;
- Are at least 18 years of age; and
- Reside, and be legally entitled to work, in Canada.
