Here are some key accountabilities of the role: - Ensure execution of day-to-day operational activities of the Production Support specialist team. - Performance management of a team of Production Support Specialist. - Seeks opportunities to participate in meetings to gain perspective and expertise in all areas of planning. - Ensure that need for production/headers is maintained in all DCs by managing and modifying the off hours schedule, balancing the staffing with the needs of P&A and the DC's. - Maintain a strong team dynamic and morale among all Production Support team members. - Identify and communicate system issues negatively impacting productivity, including identifying filter models that are unclear and following up on expired ADI's. - Prioritize workflow of each shift based on business priorities, DC processing and backlog statistics. - Support staff to resolve problems and escalate as needed including swing line inquiries. - Provide continuous direction to the team regarding shifting priorities that impact the day to day activities of the department. - Maintain ongoing dialogue with Planning Managers to surface and address issues and opportunities regarding the department or the staff. - Seek opportunities to further enhance interaction between P&A "day shift" and Production Support Department (i.e. update online communication databases). **What you’ll need** To begin your career with us, we require the following: - Completed or pursuing a post-secondary education or related work experience. - 1 to 2 year’s experience as an Associate Planner or related supervisory experience. - Strong problem solving skills including the ability to identify options and partner to determine optimal course of action. - Strong skills in all P&A concepts and philosophies that impact the allocation of merchandise. - Knowledge of the ADS systems and in use of business tools. - Ability to partner with other Supervisors and Managers in the management of staff and workflow. - Strong decision making and problem solving skills particularly related to merchandising. - Understanding of product flow within the DCs. - Creative team building skills. - Strong communication and follow through skills. - Issue management skills (time management: interpersonal skills including conflict management; information gathering skills; team building skills to build collaborative working relationships). **Posting details
