Position Title: Full Time Shuttle Driver - Night Shift

Location: 1150 Stevenson Rd. S., Oshawa, ON

Shift: 10:30PM to 6:30AM

Status: Full Time

**Summary of Position**:
Shuttle Drivers are responsible for inspecting and shuttling customers finish product (Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierras) within the General Motors (GM) compound, warehousing yards, rail area, or to an offsite up-fitter, in a safe and efficient manner. As well, you may be required to transport Shuttle Drivers from designated pick-up zones to the GM compound or other destinations as a Van Driver.

**Essential Functions, Duties and Tasks**:

- Enter a shuttle van and be taken to, or walk to a customer vehicle
- Inspect vehicle for potential damage and verify presence of accessories listed on invoice
- Drive the vehicle from the plant to its destination
- Scan barcode which informs driver of where to park the vehicle
- Park the vehicle in designated location
- Ensure all accessories are turned off and place keys in the cupholder
- Exit the vehicle
- Repeat above for duration of shift
- Ensure yard quality standards are maintained
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Working Conditions**:Working outside (driving, walking) in all types of weather including extreme weather conditions. Work at a fast pace, getting in and out of vehicles.

**COVID-19 Considerations**:

- Required to work on the GM Canada property
- GM Canada requires our employees to be fully vaccinated prior to entry or have a valid exemption acceptable to GM Canada
- Must be able to provide proof of vaccination upon request

**Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required**:

- Exhibit behaviour and conduct that fosters a positive work atmosphere
- Ability to interact with others effectively and communicate diplomatically
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents (e.g., locations cards, work orders, vehicle identification numbers)
- Ability to effectively react to change and work in a variety of situations
- Ability to adhere to quality standards and safe work practices

**Education, Experience, and Minimum Requirements**:

- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Minimum one year driving experience
- Valid full G driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Background Check and Driver's Abstract will be required
