**Position Overview**:
As a key member of the Administration Department, the Human Resources Manager will lead and manage all aspects of ICCS’s human resources functions. From recruitment and onboarding to employee development, performance management, and labor relations, this role is integral to fostering a supportive and productive workplace aligned with ICCS’s mission and values.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and supervise the HR team, ensuring resources and tools for success.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training processes in collaboration with program managers.
- Manage employee performance enhancement processes, including evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment standards, and collective agreements.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff and managers to support professional growth.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records in digital and physical formats.
- Act as a liaison between union representatives and management.
- Collaborate with the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to support payroll and benefits administration functions within the organization.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through participation in staff events, fundraisers, and training sessions.
**Qualifications**:
- ** Education**: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, social sciences, or related field. A diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
- ** Experience**: Demonstrated experience in human resources management, preferably in a non-profit or unionized environment.
- Knowledge of HR principles, labor relations, employment law, and payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now.
- Training in conflict resolution, motivational interviewing, or similar areas is an asset.
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in leveraging technology to streamline HR processes.
- High emotional intelligence with a commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and manage change effectively.
