**Job Description**:
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Director, Client Strategy this role is responsible for supporting events and sponsorships under CIBC Commercial Bank. Responsibilities include liaising with business partners to maximize efficiencies and provide a seamless, consistent approach to events, researching, planning and executing events, sharing information and best practices with stakeholders. You will have responsibility for successful project management and execution of events as well as coordination of sponsorships with mínimal direction.
The objective for managing events and sponsorships is to ensure that we maximize our events opportunities with an adherence to consistent standards and processes associated with working with multiple stakeholders and partners across CIBC Commercial Banking.
How you’ll succeed
- Marketing and Communications: You will work in partnership with key stakeholders to develop communications, crafting content for invitations and work in partnership with external event teams to ensure delivery timelines are met and event results are tracked.
- Project Management - You will manage multiple projects, on time and on budget. Your will manage external vendors as required to execute events and programs within scope and with consistency. Manage and maintain external client facing data and follow current procedures to have data updated regularly.
- Relationship building - You will build relationships and work with key senior internal stakeholders to centralize event activities, and ensure all events are delivered with consistency and in a timely, effective and cost-efficient manner.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the planning and execution of events and sponsorships, including sales conferences and trade shows (in-person and virtual)
- Help manage invites, content, presentations for events and coordinate promotion across various marketing channels
- Coordinate logistics for events (location, agenda, guest speakers, invitations) and provide on-site support of delivery as necessary
- Ensure on-going communication and regular status updates on all aspects of assigned events and sponsorships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Assist in screening sponsorship opportunities to ensure alignment with business strategy
- Manage ongoing relationships with preferred suppliers
- Track results and share post-event analysis with Senior Management
- Administer client databases, event calendar and briefing documents; track budgets, contracts and compile a post-event debrief to track ROI of each event
