The Health & Fitness Programs Supervisor CYF (Child, Youth & Family) drives the success of dynamic child and youth programs by designing, implementing, and assessing initiatives that engage and retain a diverse membership base. Leading a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, the role focuses on providing exceptional programming across various activities, from sports and camps to youth leadership development. In collaboration with the Director, this position manages budgets, maintains high standards for program safety and quality, and ensures compliance with YMCA standards. Additionally, the role strengthens community partnerships and contributes to broader organizational goals, championing impactful, mission-aligned initiatives within the Centre's senior leadership team.

**In This Role, You Will**:

- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs within the Association’s Membership Services Plan to attract and retain the centre’s diverse membership, including managing the process from inquiry to registration to long-term participation and retention.
- Provide leadership and support/delivery to all Children and Youth programs, including Soccer, Basketball, Sports and Games, House Leagues, Badminton, Dance, Martial Arts, Camps, Youth Leadership Development, and Teen Night.
- Recruit, train, and coach YMCA staff and volunteer teams within the outlined program areas. Develop and evaluate staff and volunteers on an ongoing basis in the outlined program areas.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with YMCA standards regarding safety, child protection, and program quality.
- Assist the Director in developing and managing departmental budgets, achieving all performance indicators and standards, including those related to MOR, Healthy Child Development, Playing to Learn, retention, and YMCA Priority Sam Standards.
- Provide leadership and support as a member of the Centre’s senior staff team. Act as an effective Service Leader as required.
- Participate in task groups, special assignments, and opportunities that further the Association's mission, vision, and strategic initiatives, including the Core Service Functional Group.
- Connect with community and external organizations, as well as other YMCAs, to participate in a community of practice for program development, measurement, and design.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**You Bring**:

- Post-secondary education in Recreation Leadership, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Current certification in Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
- Current certifications/qualifications in the following preferred: Coaching certification (any sport), Healthy Child Development, High Five.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience delivering Child and Youth programs.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous experience in the development and implementation of new programs is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership skills developed through progressively responsible experience; ability to encourage, motivate staff and volunteers, and acknowledge and appreciate contributions.
- Knowledge and understanding of physical literacy and child development.
- Proficiency with computer software, including Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and volunteers.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion and equity including the ability to identify and address barriers, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design.
