The City of Kenora is looking for students for summer employment This is your chance to be part of a dynamic and innovative team of professionals who work hard to ensure the best possible experience for all of our residents and visitors. The position will provide assistance in the administration and enforcement of municipal regulatory by-laws including but not limited to, the parking by-law, animal control by-law, sign and advertising by-law and licensing by-law within the City of Kenora. The position will be expected to respond to enquiries and complaints and provide superior customer service as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be a full-time student in the 2024-25 school year at a secondary or post-secondary education institution and be returning to school full-time for the 2025-26 school season
- Must be available to attend and complete mandatory safety training and orientation
- Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of climate conditions
- Possess good communication skills with ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills & interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with the public with tact and diplomacy
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Possess a valid driver’s license (minimum G2) in good standing is required
- Valid standard First Aid or AED training would be an asset

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week. Some weekends required.

**Rate**: $18.13/hr

Students will be required to provide the City with a clean criminal record check, driver’s abstract, and proof of enrolment if successful in a summer position with the City of Kenora.
