**Field Law’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) will report to the firm’s Managing partner and will be an important collaborator and contributor to the development and execution of firm strategies. Other core responsibilities will include**:

- Overseeing and continually improving all aspects of firm operations.
- Developing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and key performance indicators to ensure the firm’s financial health and profitability.
- Providing leadership and mentorship throughout the firm, including to a team of direct reports responsible for Finance, Technology, Information Services, Marketing + Business Development, Human Resources + Administration.

**Skills Essential to the Role**:

- Track record of strategy execution and delivery of desired financial results.
- Confident individual with clear and articulate verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong analytical mind with an aptitude for identifying business opportunities and mitigating risks.
- Ability to lead effective organizational change.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships will all levels of the organization and with key external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated and significant capacity for problem solving.
- Ability to manage numerous priorities with the ability to prioritize, with the resolve to see things through, but also the agility to quickly accept when priorities change.

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary education, ideally in finance or business administration.
- Strong financial background, with P&L responsibility.
- 10+ years in a senior leadership position, preferably in the professional services sector, and ideally in legal.
