This position supports the Maintenance/Sanitation &Production teams to ensure the production areas are properly inspected and set up prior to the day’s production. Works with team-mates to ensure all operating lines are correctly set up and prepared for production at the scheduled start time. In addition, the role will work to complete preventative maintenance on non-operating equipment. This role also supports all aspects of production as required including production related tasks, cooking, cooling and Service activities as needed. This position will report to both Sanitation Supervisor and Maintenance Manager jointly.
**SHIFT SCHEDULE**:
- 4am to 12.30pm - Mon to Fri
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK PERFORMED**:
- Organize the final inspection and set up of all required equipment in accordance with the Production Schedule and guidance from Supervision
- Set up, repair, modify and maintain processes and packaging equipment
- Assist Sanitation crew with rough set up of equipment
- Assist QA with any swabbing, rewashing, and concerns prior to set up.
- Complete set ups to ensure on-time start ups on all lines
- Ensure that production start ups flow smoothly and efficiently, and where possible assist to resolve issues
- Support Maintenance team with start up calls and issue with fine tuning of lines for optimal operation.
- Complete any required production record forms and paperwork
- Carry out specific production assignments as directed by Supervision
- Record information on daily production record as required
- Responsible for food safety and quality, and compliance with the SQF program
- Responsible for working safely, following safety policies and wearing required PPE
- Responsible for working productively and efficiently and following established GMPs and
- SOPs
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisory team.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**:
- Ability to understand English when spoken required, ability to read and write English
- Able to preform fictional mathematics
- Ability to follow verbal instructions required
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Knowledge of documentation required and ability to complete documentation accurately
- Knowledge of food manufacturing facility
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to monitor multiple activities
- Able to operate various forms of mobile equipment including walkies, reach trucks and sky-jacks.
**KEY COMPETENCIES**:
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work across multiple functions and teams effectively
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines is a necessity
- Available for both day and night shifts and be able to work 40 or more hours per week including weekends as required
- Flexibility to meet company’s needs
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
- Minimum one-year leadership experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees
- Able to function as part of a cohesive team to achieve a common goal
**EFFORT REQUIRED**:
- Constant standing, repetitive bending, and reaching, and frequent twisting and lifting
- Lifting a maximum of 25 lbs
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Refrigerated/frozen shipping/storage areas. Intermittent exposure to outdoor conditions
- Combination of standing/walking/lifting and sitting (computer work)
