Truck Driver

**Position Overview**:
Minimum 10 years Class 1 experience.

Logging/Lowbed/Gravel Truck

Traxx Railway Services LTD, a premier railway maintenance company, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver. This vital role supports our rail operations through the transportation of equipment, materials, and other essential tasks. The position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our rail services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate Class 1 vehicles, including gravel trucks with pup trailers, for the transportation of heavy equipment, ballast, and other railway maintenance materials.
- Conduct transportation of logs and engage in various contract jobs, requiring versatility in driving assignments.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and accessories, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Plan routes efficiently and adhere to strict schedules to support timely rail operations.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, incidents, or safety concerns to dispatchers and maintenance teams.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status in compliance with regulations.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment, ensuring secure transportation.
- Stay informed and comply with all transportation regulations and company policies.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a minimum of 5 years of experience and a clean driving record.
- Experience operating gravel trucks with pup trailers, lowbedding, and in logging operations.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug test.
- Familiarity with transportation and safety regulations.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina for handling loading and unloading tasks.
- Dependable and committed to maintaining safe driving practices.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and nights as needed.

**Working Conditions**:

- Frequent long-distance travel and potential for extended working hours, including nights and weekends.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and typical noise levels of construction and railway sites.
