The Overnight Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility, property, personnel, and visitors during the overnight hours. This role requires vigilance, quick response to emergencies, and proactive monitoring to prevent theft, damage, or other incidents. The Overnight Security Guard works independently with mínimal supervision and must be alert and attentive throughout the night.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patrolling**:

- Conduct regular patrols of the property (interior and exterior) to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.
- Ensure all security equipment, including cameras, gates, locks, and alarms, are functioning properly.
- **Surveillance Monitoring**:

- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect any unusual activities.
- Respond to alarms and investigate any security incidents or breaches.
- **Access Control**:

- Verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas.
- Check identification badges, visitor logs, and ensure proper clearance for personnel entering the building.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Respond promptly to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches.
- Call law enforcement, fire department, or emergency services as necessary.
- Administer basic first aid if trained and needed until professional help arrives.
- **Incident Reporting**:

- Document all security-related incidents, irregularities, or accidents in detailed reports.
- Maintain a log of patrols, observations, and any actions taken.
- Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor for follow-up.
- **Monitoring Property Conditions**:

- Ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked and that there are no signs of forced entry or vandalism.
- Ensure that lighting, fire exits, and safety systems are in working order.
- **Customer Service**:

- Assist employees, visitors, or contractors with general information or directions, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Help visitors with access instructions, if needed.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
