**ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION**
**Who is the Events Coordinator?**
At Cooperation Canada, we play a critical role in strengthening the international cooperation sector by convening our members, experts, and partners through a variety of events, large and small, to advance sector knowledge and foster policy dialogue. From front-line humanitarian workers and charity CEOs to international VIPs and political leaders, our events serve as a principal means of engagement with our partners.
This role is responsible for ensuring the success of all events hosted by Cooperation Canada. Under the supervision of the Manager, Events and Community Development, the Events Coordinator is responsible for events planning at Cooperation Canada and is expected to support events from conception to delivery using effective project management skills, in collaboration with the Administrator of Events and IT. In this role, you will involve the full Cooperation Canada team and key external partners in planning and delivering on all our events, including International Development Week (February), AGM (September), as well as frequent webinars, trainings, dialogues and working group meetings.
- Fully bilingual in English and French (written and spoken);
- At least two (2) to three (3) years of directly related experience and two (2) to three (3) years of post-secondary education from a relevant field (college, CEGEP or university) OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination of virtual and in-person events.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to produce professional materials for public audiences.
- Great interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a diverse team environment, with a commitment to anti-racism, equity, diversity, inclusion and justice.
- Superior organizational and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and work independently with a high degree of professionalism, to achieve objectives.
**Desirable**
- Experience working in an international cooperation environment, social justice and/or a membership-based organization an asset.

**Qui**est** le/la**coordinateur**-**trice** des**événements** ?**
Ce rôle consiste à assurer le succès de tous les événements organisés par Coopération Canada. Sous la supervision du/de la gestionnaire des événements et du développement communautaire, le/la coordonnateur-trice des événements est responsable de la planification des événements à Coopération Canada et doit soutenir les événements de la conception à la livraison en utilisant des compétences efficaces en gestion de projet, en collaboration avec l'administrateur-trice des événements et de l'informatique. Dans ce rôle, vous impliquerez l'ensemble de l'équipe de Coopération Canada et les principaux-ales partenaires externes dans la planification et la réalisation de tous nos événements, y compris la Semaine du développement international (février), l'AGA (septembre), ainsi que de fréquents webinaires, formations, dialogues et réunions de groupes de travail.

- 2 à 3 ans d'expérience pertinente et 2 à 3 ans d'études postsecondaires, ou une combinaison équivalente des deux.
- Une expérience confirmée dans la coordination d'événements virtuels et en personne.
- Solides compétences en communication et capacité à créer des documents professionnels destinés à des publics.
- Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles, avec un engagement en faveur de la lutte contre le racisme, de l'équité, de la diversité, de l'inclusion et de la justice dans un environnement d'équipe.
