**Job description**

Arrow Machine and Fabrication Group [AMFG] is growing and seeking an Accounting Associate to join our newly integrated finance team. AMFG is the parent organization of a number of divisions operating in the machining and fabrication space. We are looking for an experienced accounting generalist that can successfully multi-task in this multi-divisional environment and initiate process improvements as we continue to integrate the businesses.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in month-end close activities, including preparation of specific journal entries, comparative accounting schedules, labor and overhead reports, and balance sheet reconciliations;
- Create and manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules for all divisions
- Weekly reconciliation of sales and gross margin registers to the general ledger
- Reconcile scrap claims to rebates/refunds
- Prepare accounts payable invoice analysis, validation and coding review and pro-actively manage issue resolutions
- Manage a 13-week rolling forecast of cash disbursements on a weekly basis
- Evaluate Company’s financial procedures, processes, and policies and make recommendations for improvements as needed

**Skills**:

- Post-secondary education preferred with emphasis on bookkeeping or accounting
- 3 - 5 years of working experience as a bookkeeper or general accountant
- Working knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerized ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel (Intermediate/Advanced), Word, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-driven with a focus on independent problem-solving and issue resolution
- Accounting experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
