**Responsibilities**:

- **Impact**: Stop incidents before they escalate—live video, alarms, audio deterrence.
- **Modern tools**: Work inside a **cutting-edge command centre** with pro-grade VMS and alarm platforms.
- **Growth**: Clear pathways into investigations, mobile/field ops, or leadership.
- **Support**: Solid SOPs, quick escalation, tight teamwork.

**What you’ll do**:

- Monitor CCTV and respond to alarms in real time; detect theft, trespass, fraud, damage, and unauthorized entry.
- Use two-way audio/video to deter activity; dispatch on-site guards, mobile units, or police/fire/EMS as needed.
- Document everything: detailed electronic incident reports, shift logs, evidence clips.
- Perform routine system checks; flag anomalies and work with Operations to prioritize critical cameras.
- **Education / Experience**:_
- Experience in security, video surveillance, or loss prevention (2+ years an asset).
- Proven theft/fraud detection skills; shoplifting/LP background is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Criminal Code s.494 (citizen’s arrest) and Trespass to Property Act (asset).
- Tactical communication, calm under pressure, and excellent written reporting.
- Comfortable using VMS, alarm platforms, and reporting systems; fast multitasker with sharp prioritization.
- High integrity and professionalism; clean background.

**Must-haves**:

- **Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence**:

- **Loss prevention/surveillance** **experience (strong asset)**:

- High school diploma (college or relevant post-secondary in **Criminology/Justice** an asset)

Pay: $21.00 per hour

- Do you have experience working in a security control room or command center environment?
- This role requires extended screen monitoring and multitasking with multiple systems. Are you comfortable sitting and focusing for long periods?
- Have you dispatched on-site guards, mobile patrols, or police/fire/EMS from a monitoring role?
- Can you capture/export video evidence and maintain chain-of-custody documentation?
- Briefly explain when you would escalate to police/EMS versus site staff only.
- You observe suspected shoplifting via CCTV at a client site. What steps do you take from detection to documentation?
- Can you commit to SOP adherence, confidentiality, and no sharing of client footage/info outside authorized channels?
- Can you reliably commute to Hamilton for on-site command-centre shifts?
- Which VMS platforms have you used? For Example: Genetec; Avigilon; Milestone; Hikvision/iVMS; Other; None
- Are you available for rotating shifts including evenings/overnights, weekends, and holidays?

**Experience**:

- Video Surveillance and Alarm Monitoring: 3 years (required)
