**Waste Connections of Canada **the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America has an opening for an experienced **Class 3 Driver **in our busy and expanding Victoria, BC location. We put our drivers first and we work together by listening, removing barriers, and providing ongoing coaching and support.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Ensure safe operation of a truck, while driving, loading, and unloading.
- Drive to customer locations for pickup, and position truck safely to ensure a safe lift.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable service.
- Resolve blocked access, if possible, (e.g., honk horn or call dispatcher/customer; take picture of vehicle blocking access, return for later pick-up).
- Dump contents at designated recycling facility or landfill.
- Review run sheet listing calls and identify any potential issues.
- At beginning of shift, complete a thorough pre-trip inspection.
- At end of shift, fuel truck and complete a thorough post-trip inspection.
- Document any concerns to be checked by mechanic and complete VCR.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience with a clean abstract.
- Roll-Off and/or Front-End Loader experience preferred.
- Class 3 or higher driver’s license.
- Excellent spatial skills to position vehicle and bins effectively and drive accident free.
- Effective communication skills to convey information to dispatcher and customers.
- Knowledge of the area is a strong asset.
- Physically mobile: able to climb in and out of truck.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
