**Primary Purpose**

Fleming College, Toronto Programs is a public college-private partnership between Fleming College and Trebas Institute, with academic delivery and student support services managed by Trebas Institute.

FCT is looking for an experienced Mathematics or Accounting/Finance educator to join our team as an Academic Facilitator. The role holder will have exceptional organizational and communication skills to lead class lessons and discussions while encouraging students to develop skills and knowledge critically and rationally.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Organize coursework and learning materials, and lead class lessons, discussions, and presentations by bringing excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the sessions.
- Plan, prepare and deliver various math/accounting-related topics for drop-in sessions.
- Help reinforce understanding of concepts taught in class.
- Clarify problems similar to those on graded assignments.
- Review submitted assignments to help students identify areas for improvement.
- Challenge ideas, and encourage students to develop skills and knowledge critically and rationally.
- Maintain attendance records for planning and forecasting relating to classroom management.
- Evaluate and regularly review students’ progress and provide feedback.
- Create a supportive and positive classroom environment.

**Position Requirements**

**Education and Experience**:

- Degree in Education, Mathematics, Accounting/Finance or equivalent required.
- Experience teaching in a multicultural classroom.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to motivate students to achieve their learning objectives.
- Ability to accommodate differences in students’ learning styles.
- An adaptable and understanding personality with a professional attitude and a dedication to excellence in teaching.
- Passionate about the language, student learning and education.
