Taekwondo Instructor

4 Elements Martial Arts is a Taekwondo school located in Queensborough, New Westminster. We are seeking motivated and passionate instructors to join us to mentor and inspire young students through taekwondo.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Learn and teach our school curriculum to all students
- Structure, plan, instruct and deliver engaging and challenge classes
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Work with students with disabilities and special needs
- Responsible and confident team player with strong communication skills
- Positive, friendly, patient and enjoys working with children
- Must maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Maintain discipline and order during class
- Engage with and instruct students of all ages (4 to 60) and all belt levels
- Knowledgeable and confident demonstrating all basic movements, self-defence, breaking, sparring, and Poomsae (1 to Koryo)
- Must be physically fit and flexible and able to demonstrate all Taekwondo techniques with proper form
- Assist students in improving their technique and provide assessment and feedback to students and parents
- Coordinate with other instructors and staff members for special events
- Coach and mentor students at tournaments and assist with belt tests

**Mandatory Qualitifications/Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years experience working with kids
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience
- Minimum 5 years training experience
- All experience must be World Taekwondo style
- Minimum Kukkiwon 1st Dan
- Criminal Record Check
- High School Diploma
- First aid & CPR certification is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
